All sound is electric. Your ears convert air pressure waves to neuroelectrical signals, and those are flashed through your synapses and intermixed with the charges of your innermost thoughts. Electronic sound is the basis for our aural experience of the world.
But it's also perceived as technical, or difficult, or as opposed to the more "natural" sounds of acoustic instruments, or as something expensive or challenging to engage with.
Thanks to the generous support of First Music Contact and the National Concert Hall in Dublin, we have an opportunity to change that. This autumn, we're piloting Creativity with Electronic Sound, a 3-week foundational program designed to make the history, appreciation and practice of electronic music more accessible. You can learn more and apply for one of the limited places available here.
